FIREWORKS CONCLUDED THE SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY IN ADA, MINNESOTA... THE RACE SPECIAL FEATURING: NOSA OUTLAW SPRINTS, NOPA SUPER TRUCKS, NOPA PURESTOCKS, WISSOTA MIDWEST MODIFIEDS AND MODFOURS WAS HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 110TH ANNUAL NORMAN COUNTY FAIR.

THIRTEEN MOD FOURS CAME FOR THE SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL, NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY POINTS LEADER AND WINNER OF SIX CONSECUTIVE FEATURES, MICHAEL GRESETH CAME OUT TO AGAIN DOMINATE AND BUILD A LARGE LEAD HEADING TO A HEAT VICTORY UNTIL THE FINAL LAP COMING OUT OF THE FOURTH TURN WITH THE CHECKERED FLAG WAITING TO BE WAIVED, THE ENGINE BLEW UP IN THE #17 CAR. WITH GRESETH "COASTING" , CORY VANMIL PICKED UP THE HEAT WIN, SCOTT SAILER FINISHED THIRD.

IN THE SECOND HEAT, ERIC MONSON DROVE TO VICTORY WITH MATT GRESETH SECOND, DENNIS CHARLES THIRD.
IN THE FEATURE< DENNIS CHARLES LED FROM THE START TO TAKE THE CHECKERED FLAG, CHARLES SAID AFTER THE RACE" HE WAS HAPPY TO WIN AND IT WAS UNFORTUNATE THAT MICHAEL GRESETH COULDN'T BE ON THE TRACK AS GRESETH HAD HELPED CHARLES WITH HIS CAR SET UP".

IN THE MIDWST MODIFIEDS, HEAT ONE RESULTS:

HEAT TWO: FIRST CRAIG ENGELSTAD, SECOND KARL TOLLEFSON, THIRD DARIN BRANDT

IN THE FEATURE: THE MIDWEST MODIFIEDS RACED HARD AND WELL, 11 LAPS WERE COMPLETED BEFORE THE FIRST AND ONLY CAUTION FLAG, AFTER THE RE-START CRAIG ENGLESTAD HELD OFF THE REST OF THE CHALLENGERS TO WIN THE FEATURE.

IN THE PURESTOCKS, HEAT ONE RESULTS; FIRST KEN CRANE, SECOND FRANCIS LUNDON, THIRD RANDY JAWASKI,
HEAT TWO RESULTS: FIRST PAUL OLSON, SECOND CHARLES JENSEN, THIRD RANDY GARDNER

IN THE FEATURE, RANDY JAWASKI RACED WITH HIS "AILING BACK" AND NO DOCTORS PERMISSION TO CLIMB INTO THE #7 CAR TO TAKE THE CHECKERED FLAG AND BUILD ON HIS POINTS TOTAL AS LEADER AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY.
SECOND WAS KEN CRANE, THIRD FRANCIS LUNDON, FOURTH DEAN LUNDON, FIFTH PAUL OLSON

IN THE NOPA SUPER TRUCKS, DAVE BUFFIE STARTED OUT FRONT TO WIN THE HEAT AND LATER CAME BACK TO WIN THE FEATURE. HEAT RESULTS: FIRST BUFFIE, SECOND RICKY WEISS, THIRD JIM HUNTER
IN THE FEATURE, FIRST BUFFIE, SECOND JACQUES BEAULIEA, THIRD JIM HUNTER

FOURTEEN NOSA OUTLAW SPRINTS CAME TO ADA FOR THEIR ANNUAL TRIP AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY DURING THE FAIR. IN HEAT ONE, FIRST WADE NYGARD, SECOND CASEY MACK, THIRD CHRIS SHIREK
HEAT TWO RESULTS: FIRST DONOVAN PETERSON, SECOND MARK DOBMEIER, THIRD NICK SHIREK

IN THE 25 LAP FEATURE, SCOTT MCDONALD STARTED IN THE FRONT AND RACED WITH THE LEAD ALL 25 LAPS. AFTER 18 LAPS, THE TWO TOP CHALLENGERS OF MARK DOBMEIER AND WADE NYGARD CAME OUT OF THE SECOND CORNER SIDE BY SIDE AND GOT CONNECTED TO SEND BOTH SPRINTS END OVER END AND A ROLL. BOTH DRIVERS WALKED AWAY. AFTER THE RE-START MCDONALD WAS THEN CHASED BY CASEY MACK(SECOND) AND NICK SHIREK (THIRD). IRONICALLY, THE #33 CAR OF MCDONALD WAS IN A BAD CRASH FRIDAY AT THE RIVER CITY SPEEDWAY IN GRANDFORKS. THEY SPENT FRIDAY NIGHT AND ALL DAY SATURDAY GETTING THE SPRINT READY TO RACE IN ADA. THE TIME SPENT EARNED THEM A FEATURE WIN AND ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR PURSE.

THEIR WILL BE NO RACING NEXT THURSDAY JUNE 30TH AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY. REGULAR RACING RESUMES THURSDAY JULY 7TH WITH MOD FOURS, PURESTOCKS, MIDWEST MODIFIEDS, SUPER STOCKS, WISSOTA STREETS AND A-MODIFIEDS.
PIT GATES OPEN AT 4:30, HOT LAPS AT 6:30 AND RACING AT 7PM.
