AMONGST SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS, THE RACES WENT ON AS PLANNED THURSDAY NIGHT AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY IN ADA, MINNESOTA. THE TRACK WAS DRY EARLY AND THE WATER TRUCK WENT OUT IN BETWEEN HEATS, LATER IN THE FEATURE RACES, MOTHER NATURE PROVIDED A WET TRACK WITH RAIN SHOWERS OVER THE FINAL THREE FEATURE RACES. ALL IN ALL, ANOTHER GOOD NIGHT OF RACING AND FAN SUPPORT. ONE THING DID NOT CHANGED AND HAS NOT IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS,,, MIKE GRESETH WINS IN THE MOD FOUR FEATURE RACE... A TOTAL OF 74 CARS WERE AT THE RACEWAY FOR THE 6TH RACE OF THE SEASON.
RACE RESULTS :
MOD FOURS: HEAT ONE: FIRST PLACE ERIC MONSON, SECOND PLACE SHAYNE LASKE, THIRD PLACE CORY VANMIL.

HEAT TWO: FIRST PLACE MIKE GRESETH,, SECOND PLACE PAUL ENGELSTAD,, THIRD PLACE MATT OHNSTAD.

IN THE FEATURE RACE: PAUL ENGELSTAD LED FROM THE POLE POSITION UNTIL A YELLOW CAUTION CREATED A RE-START WITH THREE LAPS REMAINING, WITH TWO LAPS LEFT, GRESETH PASSED ENGELSTAD AND RACED TO HIS THIRD STRAIGHT FEATURES VICTORY. ENGELSTAD FINISHED SECOND. BILL LEAHY WAS THIRD, CORY VANMIL FOURTH AND SHAYNE LASKE FIFTH.

WISSOTA STREETS: IN THE HEAT, ROYCE JAWASKI TOOK THE LEAD WITH ONE LAP REMAINING AND THE CHECKERED FLAG. KELLY SECKERSON WAS SECOND, JASON GRIMES THIRD.

IN THE FEATURE: JAWASKI TOOK THE LEAD FROM THE START AND BATTLED WITH GRIMES FOR 10 LAPS. GRIMES FINALLY OVERTOOK JAWASKI TO LEAD FOR TWO LAPS,,, WHILE BUILDING A COMFORTABLE LEAD, HOWEVER COMING OUT OF TURN FOUR, GRIMES GOT HIGH AND HIT THE GUARDRAIL, THIS ALLOWED JAWASKI TO TAKE THE LEAD BACK WHICH HE WOULD HOLD. SECKERSON MOVED INTO SECOND, GRIMES WOULD FINISH THIRD, LUKE NELSON WAS FOURTH AND JOE POTTER FIFTH.

MIDWEST MODS: HEAT ONE, FIRST STEVE BEACH, SECOND TRAVIS SAUER, THIRD JUSTIN JONES.

HEAT TWO: FIRST CRAIG ENGELSTAD, SECOND GARY SONSTELIE, THIRD TROY BURNSIDE.

FEATURE RACE:AFTER SEVERAL CAUTIONS, TRAVIS SAUER PASSED CARL TOLLEFSON TO WIN. TOLLEFSON WOULD FALL BACK TO THIRD BEFORE MAKING A HARD PUSH AND CLAIMING SECOND AHEAD OF STEVE BEACH. JUSTIN JONES FINISHED FOURTH AND BLAKE BORGEN WAS FIFTH.

PURE STOCKS: HEAT ONE. RANDY JAWASKI FIRST, TRAVIS BEITO SECOND AND ANDY KAPPES THIRD.

HEAT TWO: DAN BECKMAN FIRST, DEAN LUNDON SECOND AND MIKE PETERSON THIRD.

IN THE FEATURE RACE...DAN BECKMAN LED EARLY BEFORE PETERSON WOULD TAKE THE LEAD ON THE SIXTH LAP... PETERSON HELD OFF BECKMAN TO WIN THE FEATURE. AFTER BECKMAN, JAWASKI FINISHED THIRD, DEAN LUNDON FOURTH AND FRANCIS LUNDON FIFTH.

IN THE SUPERSTOCKS: HEAT ONE: FIRST KYLE PETERLIN, SECOND DOYLE ERICKSON, THIRD STEVE BEACH.

HEAT TWO: FIRST RYAN AHO, SECOND DUSTRIN STRAND, THIRD CORKY THOMAS.

IN THE SUPERSTOCKS FEATURE: THIS ONE FEATURED HARD NOSED RACING, MANY TIMES CARS WERE TWO AND THREE WIDE IN THE CORNERS AND ON THE STRAIGHTAWAYS... DOYLE ERICKSON LED FOR TEN LAPS AND BUILT A COMFORTABLE LEAD, HOWEVER ERICKSON HAD CAR TROUBLE AND WENT OFF AND OVER ON TURN THREE,,, THIS ALLOWED PETERLIN TO TAKE THE LEAD WHICH HE WOULD NOT RELINQUISH. DUSTRIN STRAND HELD OFF ALEX ENGELSTAD WHO HAD BEEN PUT TO THE BACK ON A YELLOW MIDWAY THROUGH THE FEATURE. ENGELSTAD TOOK THIRD, RYAN AHO FOURTH AND CORKY THOMAS FIFTH. MOST CARS IN THE SUPERSTOCK FEATURE LEFT THE RACEWAY WITH TORN TIN !!!

IN THE MODIFIEDS: HEAT ONE: FIRST BRIAN STRAND, SECOND CHAD OHNSTAD, THIRD RICK JACOBSON

HEAT TWO: FIRST BLAKE JETVIG,,, SECOND DOUG RIOPELLE, THIRD MARK ESALA.

MODIFIED FEATURE : BRIAN STRAND HELD THE LEAD THROUGH SEVERAL RE-STARTS AFTER CAUTIONS AND THEN ON LAP SEVEN, OHNSTAD TOOK THE INSIDE ROUTE OFF TURN FOUR AND RACED TO THE VICTORY... RICK JACOBSON FINISHED SECOND, MARK TRAUTNER THIRD, MARK ESALA FOURTH AND JAMIE TRAUTNER FIFTH.
