THE POPULARITY OF THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY IN ADA, MINNESOTA CONTINUES TO INCREASE WITH RACE DRIVERS AND FANS. THURSDAY NIGHT IT WAS ANOTHER RECORD SETTING NIGHT WITH 86 CARS AND THE GRANDSTAND CROWD WAS GOOD DESPITE COLD TEMPERATURES AND LIGHT RAIN UP TO THE START OF THE RACES. WHEN THE NIGHT WAS OVER,,, IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT OF RACING AND THE WEATHER COOPERATED TOO!!

RACE RESULTS:
ELEVEN MOD FOURS RACED IN ONE HEAT,, MICHAEL GRESETH CONTINUES HIS DOMINANCE THROUGH THREE WEEKS AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY. GRESETH LED FROM GREEN TO CHECKERED FLAG AND CAME BACK LATER TO WIN HIS SECOND FEATURE OF THE SEASON. IN THE HEAT, GRESETH WAS FOLLOWED BY DENNIS CHARLES AND BLAKE JETVIG.
IN THE FEATURE RACE,,, GRESETH LED THE ENTIRE WAY,, BLAKE JETVIG RACED IN SECOND PLACE ,, CORY VANMIL HELD OFF BILL LEAHY FOR THIRD AND GEORGE SIMMENS FINISHED FIFTH,.
GRESETH IS THE TRACK POINTS LEADER.

IN THE WISSOTA STREETS, TWO HEATS,,, IN HEAT ONE, KELLY SECKERSON WAS FIRST, SCOTT PAULSON SECOND AND LUKE NELSON THIRD.
HEAT TWO,, KEVIN VERALRUD WAS FIRST, SPENCER JOHNSON SECOND AND ROYCE JAWASKI THIRD.

IN THE STEETS FEATURE, LAST YEARS NATIONAL POINT CHAMPION SCOTT PAULSON STARTED IN THE SECOND TO LAST ROW AND MOVED HIS WAY THROUGH THE PACK,, THROUGH TEN LAPS SPENCER JOHNSON WAS HOLDING OFF THE HARD DRIVING PAULSON, HOWEVER, AT THE START/FINISH LINE, PAULSON PASSED JOHNSON AND NEVER LOOKED BACK TAKING HIS FIRST FEATURE RACE CHECKERED FLAG AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY. JOHNSON FINISHED SECOND, KELLY SECKERSON WAS THIRD, JASON GRIMES FOURTH AND JOE POTTER FIFTH.

MIDWEST MODS,,, TWO HEATS,
HEAT ONE, DANNY STREM FIRST, JUSTIN JONES SECOND, CRAIG ENGELSTAD THIRD.
HEAT TWO: BLAKE BORGEN FIRST, RICH PAVLICEK SECOND AND TRAVIS SAUER THIRD.

IN THE MIDWEST MOD FEATURE, DANNY STREM TOOK THE POLE POSITION , BUILT A LEAD AND AFTER TWO CAUTIONS, STREM STILL COULD NOT BE CAUGHT. BLAKE BORGEN STARTED UPFRONT WITH STREM AND RACED IN SECOND PLACE. JUSTIN JONES(3RD) BATTLED WITH TRAVIS SAUER (4TH) AND JAKE BITKER MOVED INTO THE TOP FIVE AFTER A CAUTION RE-START AT 12 LAPS.

THE PURE STOCKS HAD 19 CARS, RANDY JAWASKI CONTINUES HIS TOP PERFORMING DRIVING AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY. THE CURRENT POINTS LEADER WON HIS HEAT AND LATER WON THE FEATURE. IN BOTH CASES, JAWASKI STARTED IN THE FRONT AND HELD THE LEAD FROM GREEN TO CHECKERED FLAG.

HEAT ONE, RANDY JAWASKI FIRST, JIM OLSON SECOND AND WILLIAM BECKMAN THIRD.
HEAT TWO: BILL OXTON FIRST, KEN CRANE SECOND AND BRAD LEE THIRD.
WITH JAWASKI LEADING THE FIELD IN THE FEATURE,, THE CHALLENGE WAS WHO WOULD COME IN SECOND, BRAD LEE, KEN CRANE, MIKE PETERSON AND TRAVIS BEITO TRADED PLACES THROUGHT THE RACE AND IN THE FINAL TWO LAPS, KEN CRANE MOVED UP FROM FOURTH TO SECOND AND HELD OFF MIKE PETERSON WHO EDGED OUT BRAD LEE AT THE FINISH LINE AND TRAVIS BEITO FINISHED FIFTH. JAWASKI HAS WON TWO OF THE THREE FEATURE RACES THIS YEAR.

SUPER STOCK RESULTS:
HEAT ONE, RYAN AHO FIRST, JASON SANDERSON SECOND,, DUSTIN STRAND THIRD.
HEAT TWO: ALEX ENGELSTAD FIRST, SCOTT JACOBSON SECOND AND CORKY THOMAS THIRD.

AFTER FINISHING FIFTH IN HIS HEAT, JON STEPAN TOOK THE POLE POSITION IN THE FEATURE AND LED THE ENTIRE RACE. STEPAN WAS CHALLENGE BY KYLE PETERLIN AND RYAN AHO, EVEN AFTER A CAUTION AND IT GOING GREEN, WHITE, CHECKERED, STEPAN WAS TOO STRONG IN RACING TO A LEAD AND WINNING HIS FIRST FEATURE AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY. KYLE PETERLIN HELD OFF RYAN AHO FOR SECOND AND THIRD RESPECTIVELY. CORKY THOMAS RACED TO FOURTH AND SCOTT JACOBSON FIFTH.

IN THE MODIFIEDS, HEAT ONE, JASON MILLER FIRST, MARK TRAUTNER SECOND, ANDY GORDON THIRD.
HEAT TWO: DEV MALMLOV FIRST, NOLAN OLMSTEAD SECOND AND MARK ESALA THIRD.

IN THE FEATURE, MALMLOV STARTED IN THE POLE POSITION AND LED THE ENTIRE RACE TO WIN HIS FIRST FEATURE THIS YEAR AT THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY. CHAD OHNSTAD WAS RACING SECOND AND COMPETING WITH JASON MILLER WHEN MARK TRAUTNER TOOK THE UNDERNEATH ROUTE MOVING INTO SECOND PLACE WITH THREE LAPS TO GO. TRAUTNER WOULD HOLD ON TO SECOND PLACE, (SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK), MILLER (LAST WEEKS WINNER) FINISHED THIRD, CHAD OHNSTAD WAS FOURTH AND NOLAN OLMSTEAD FIFTH.
