THE NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY WAS ABLE TO WORK AROUND MOTHER NATURE THIS WEEK AND HOLD IT'S SECOND WEEK OF RACING. AFTER RAIN EARLY THIS WEEK, THE SKIES CLEARED AND IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL BUT COOL NIGHT. WHILE THE TEMPERATURES WERE COOL, THE RACING WAS "HOT". MICHAEL GRESETH, STEVE BEACH,BLAKE BORGEN,MATT GRESETH, PAUL OLSON AND DON BYFUGLIEN WERE FEATURE WINNERS. ONLY MATT GRESETH HAD TO COME FROM BEHIND TO WIN,, ALL OTHERS TOOK THE POLE POSITION AND HELD OFF ALL CHALLENGERS.

IN THE NOPA FOUR CYLINDER CLASS, HEAT RESULTS:
FIRST, DON BYFUGLIEN SECOND, DANNY WESTMAN, THIRD MARCUS LUNDON.
FEATURE RESULTS: FIRST, BYFUGLIEN,, SECOND SCOTT BECKMAN OF MAHNOMEN, THIRD MARCUS LUNDON,, FOURTH DANNY WESTMAN, FIFTH AARON KAPPES OF ADA.
THE FEATURE WIN WAS THE FIRST AT NCR FOR BYGUGLIEN. THE CAR COUNT CONTINUES TO GROW IN THIS FIRST YEAR CLASS.

PURE STOCK RESULTS: HEAT ONE, FIRST KEN CRANE OF MAHNOMEN, SECOND JAMEY BLANDON, THIRD KENNY DOMOGALLA

HEAT TWO, FIRST PAUL OLSON, SECOND DEAN LUNDON, THIRD BILL BECKMAN.
IN THE FEATURE, PAUL OLSON BUILT A LARGE LEAD, AFTER TEN LAPS THE ONLY CAUTION OF THE RACE ALLOWED THE FELLOW DRIVERS TO GET CLOSE TO OLSON. AFTER THE WAVING OF THE GREEN FLAG ON THE RE-START, OLSON AGAIN WAS IN COMMAND, HE WAS FOLLOWED BY: DAN BECKMAN, DEAN LUNDON, KEN CRRANE AND BILL OXTON.

IN THE MOD FOURS, HEAT RESULTS, HEAT ONE, FIRST SHANE LASKE, SECOND SCOTT MILLER, THIRD CHAD WEST.\

HEAT TWO: FIRST DENNIS CHARLES, SECOND MATT OHNSTAD, THIRD CORY VANMIL

IN THE FEATURE, DENNIS CHARLES TOOK THE POLE POSITION AND LED THROUGH SEVEN LAPS. A CAUTION CAUSED A RE-START AND MATT GRESETH GOT A GREAT JUMP,, HE DROVE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FIRST CORNER AND NOSED HIS WAY AROUND CHARLES FOR THE LEAD. AFTER ONE LAP COMPLETED WITH GRESETH IN FRONT, THE FEATURE RACE'S SECOND CAUTION GAVE CHARLES A CHANCE TO CATCH GRESETH BUT GRESETH IN CAR #18 HAD TOO MUCH POWER THIS NIGHT.
FEATURE RESULTS: FIRST GRESETH, SECOND CHARLES, THIRD MATT OHNSTAD, FOURTH SHANE LASKE, FIFTH LANCE JOHNSON.

MIDWEST MODIFIED RESULTS, HEAT ONE, FIRST TRAVIS SAUER, SECOND DANNY STREM, THIRD GARY SONSTELIE,

HEAT TWO: FIRST BROCK GRONWOLD, SECOND JASON GRIMES, THIRD DAN NESS

HEAT THREE: FIRST BLAKE BORGEN, SECOND JASON SANDERSON, THIRD RON SAUER.

IN THE FEATURE, BLAKE BORGEN TOOK THE LEAD, BUILT THE LEAD AND THEN HELD OFF THE CHARGE FROM TRAVIS SAUER. BORGEN WAS WELL OUT IN FRONT UNTIL THE CAUTION FLAG CAME AFTER SEVEN LAPS. BORGEN AGAIN WOULD BUILD A LEAD AND AFTER 12 LAPS THE SECOND CAUTION OF THE RACE CAME.. BY THIS TIME, TRAVIS SAUER HAD DRIVEN THROUGH TRAFFIC AND WAS BEHIND BORGEN ON THE RE-START. SAUER TRIED TO GO HIGH,HE TRIED TO GO LOW AND EACH TIME, BORGEN HELD HIM OFF AND KEPT THE "6B" CAR IN THE GROOVE AND GRIPPING HARD TO TAKE THE FEATURE WIN, BORGEN'S FIRST OF THE SEASON AT NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY.
FEATURE RESULTS, FIRST BORGEN , SECOND SAUER, THIRD DANNY STREM, FOURTH JASON GRIMES, FIFTH BROCK GRONWOLD.

THE SUPERSTOCKS HAD PLENTY OF "HEAT" AND FIREWORKS WITH A LAST LAP SECOND HEAT CONTACT BETWEEN KYLE PETERLIN AND CORKY THOMAS. THE TWO CARS WOULD TOUCH EACH OTHER GOING INTO THE THIRD CORNER TO START THE ACTIVITY,..... THOMAS WAS TAKEN FROM CONTENTION AND AFTER THE CHECKERED FLAG, THOMAS CAME UP TO THE BACK OF PETERLIN AND GAVE HIM A HARD BUMP. THE TWO DRIVERS WERE BACK ON THE TRACK FOR THE FEATURE AND THE 13 CAR FIELD RACED A HARD, FAST AND CLEAN FEATURE. STEVE BEACH TOOK THE LEAD AND STAYED OUT FRONT, HE WAS CHASED BY DUSTIN STRAND, KYLE PETERLIN, CORKY THOMAS AND BRENT PULSKAMP IN THE FEATURE FINISH.

HEAT ONE RESULTS: FIRST RYAN AHO, SECOND ROD PETERSON, THIRD ALEX ENGELSTAD.
HEAT TWO RESULTS: FIRST STEVE BEACH, SECOND KYLE PETERLIN, THIRD PAUL ENGELSTAD.

THE MODIFIEDS RACED A PERFECT RACE NIGHT,,, IN THE TWO HEATS AND FEATURE RACE,, IT WAS ALL GREEN FLAG RACING. IF YOU BLINKED OR WENT TO THE CONCESSION STAND, YOU PROBABLY MISSED IT... THE 15 LAP FEATURE TOOK JUST OVER SIX MINUTES TO COMPLETE. MICHAEL GRESETH WHO HAS MADE THE JUMP FROM MOD-FOURS LAST YEAR TO THE A-MODIFIEDS CONTINUES TO SHOW EVERYONE THAT HE HAS THE SKILLS AND THE MOTOR TO BE A TOP DRIVER IN 2006. GRESETH STARTED IN FRONT AND STAYED IN FRONT TO WIN ANOTHER FEATURE. HE WAS FOLLOWED BY, MARK TRAUTER, THIRD WAS CHAD OHNSTAD, FOURTH BRRIAN STRAND, FIFTH BLAKE JETVIG.

HEAT ONE RESULTS, FIRST MICHAEL GRESETH, SECOND MARK TRAUTNER, THIRD RICK JACOBSON.

HEAT TWO RESULTS, FIRST CHAD OHNSTAD, SECOND BRIAN STRAND, THIRD BLAKE JETVIG.

A TOTAL OF 77 CARS WERE AT THIS WEEKS RACE SPONSORED BY, PIT STOP EXPRESS AND VISSER GRADING. A SPECIAL ATTRACTION AT THE THURSDAY NIGHT RACE WAS THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SPONSORED NASCAR GREG BIFFLE #16 CAR. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN BY BIFFLE AT MARTINSVILLE AND BRISTOL LAST YEAR. FANS ENJOYED THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE IT UP-CLOSE!
THE ADA-BELTRAMI COOP FAN OF THE NIGHT WAS KEALY GRIMLEY OF DILWORTH. THE BIKE GIVEAWAY WAS WON BY BROOK SHERFENBERG OF ADA.
